Spector-O.N.E a DJ who is invariably associated with Atrick – Artist and Event Management. His musical career started at the age of 7, when he signed up for music classes. After several years of playing guitar he started his first band in 1994, together with some fellow students. It is not unusual that this all happened in the mid ‘90s, the period when grunge, rock and metal music were a true hype…
In his late teens Spector-O.N.E has discovered electronic music. By that time, the music scene was introducing computers, next to the analog synth. Following Spector-O.N.E.'s highly curiosity for new technologies, he has soon discovered his passion for Electronic Music. What is more, Techno music is all of a sudden more interesting as he could ever imagine. He went crazy for the digital sound, producing the music with a computer, the digital sounds and a lot of buttons to turn and fine-tune…
It didn’t take long before he had his first computer and the virtual groovebox of Propellerheads named “Rebirth”. Shortly after playing with Rebirth, he had ended that obsession by buying a Roland MC-505. Again it was a fixation for him, every time he could he was producing Techno music with it. He really have loved the MC-505, but he thought something was missing. Yet the groovebox could not do what the DJ /Producer wanted it to do…
Around that time period, in 1999, he also discovered all kind of Thechno, House and Electro parties. Every time he was stunned by the splendid DJ-booth. That was the time when he has decided to try out the DJing himself. Shortly after that, he bought his first decks together with a Rodec "Mixbox". He started to mix his favorite tracks, hour after hour, again and again. Quite sudden the mixing became a passion and every minute of the day he was spinning some vinyl. At the same time he had to be present at the university. Consequently he had less time to produce actual tracks, by which he spent his musical leisure time behind the decks or in the vinyl shop. Since perfectionism is one of Spector-O.N.E’s characteristics, that’s why he never played a gig before the year of 2006…
After recording some DJ-sets and distributing them to his friends, people were instantly excited about unique style and skills. Initially he was very amazed of his own mixing skills, because he hasn’t recorded any DJ-set since years. At this point, he only kept on improving and refining his tunes, after which he played his first gigs at the end of 2006…
When he finished university, he was engaged in the organization of various local projects, together with other promoters and dance clubs. Without a doubt he still was spinning mostly groovy techno, minimal, house and electro tracks of the moment. Because of his huge interest in electronic music, he has decided to start his professional career in the music industry, by founding the DJ-booking agency “Atrick – Artist and Event Management”. Now he can combine his hobby with his professional activities. He can now play more gigs and calculates some time in to produce some groovy techno tracks…
